OWNER COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS:
INNONDATION (FLOOD)
- Owner Comment:
This is an impossibility for our property as we are essentially at one of the highest points in our area. There are no Dam’s, within the municipality, other than a few Mill Ponds found in the local town, 100 metres below or property. In the worst possible event, water from the local small river, not near our property but 2 metres wide, in the local Town, would simply overflow downstream. towards the Dordogne.
SEISME (EARTHQUAKE)
- Owner Comment:
We have never experienced any Seismic activity in the time we have lived here.
MOUVEMENTS DE TERRAIN (Previously called (i) LANDSLIDES and (ii) GROUND MOVEMENT)
- Owner Comment:
This is a possibility due to current global weather patterns affecting any property in any Country and Area. However, our soil conditions are relatively light and sandy. But with older properties, movement can occur.
RETRAIT GONFLEMENT DES ARGILES (Previously called SHRINKAGE – SWELLING OF CLAYS
- Owner Comment:
This is a very low possibility for our property as we are essentially at one of the highest points in our area and clays would tend to be found at lower levels such as in the village, which is approx. 100 metres below our property elevation.
FEU DE FORET (FOREST FIRE)
- Owner Comment:
Yes we are located within a large forest area, however, damage to buildings is a very low possibility due to trees being distant from the buildings. Brush is also non-existent due to the mown grass of the garden fields adjacent to the buildings.
RADON
- Owner Comment:
This is as stated a LOW possibility and any side effects would be very limited as our property very open to natural airflow.
RUPTURE DE BARRAGE (DAM FAILURE)
- Owner Comment:
This is an impossibility for our property as we are essentially at one of the highest points in our area.
There are no Dam’s, within the municipality, other than a few Mill Ponds found in the local town, in the worst possible event, water from the local small shallow river, 3 metres wide and 100 metres below our property and over a hill, would simply overflow downstream, towards the Dordogne.
